Shea Brown

About

Hello, I'm Shea.

I grow plants. At work that means propagation in a thirteen-bay greenhouse, hundreds of thousands of them from seed and cuttings through to finish.

I trained as an engineer and left it deliberately, going looking for hands-on work with plants because what I wanted to build were systems that bring life into the world and do right by the people around them. That is still what I am doing when I build tools for growers: aiming the machinery that made industrial production efficient at helping people grow food closer to home. The growing is the hard part, and it needs to get easier.
